Are you planning an Easter egg hunt for the grandkids when they come to visit? Here are some Easter egg hunt ideas that young children are sure to enjoy!

    1. Scavenger hunt with clues leading to eggs
    2. Alphabet egg hunt (hide eggs with letters and have participants spell out a word)
    3. Golden egg hunt (hide one golden egg with a special prize inside)
    4. Relay race egg hunt (this works great with older grandkids).
    5. Create clues that lead to different locations in your house or backyard, where the eggs are hidden.
    6. Use riddles or puzzles to solve that will eventually lead to the location of the eggs.
    7. Set up challenges or mini-games at each location that the participants need to complete before they can collect their eggs.
    8. Use different colored eggs to represent different point values, and the person with the most points at the end wins a prize.
    9. Hide eggs in unusual places, such as inside a book or in a potted plant, to make the hunt more challenging.
    10. Consider adding a theme to your scavenger hunt, such as a favorite movie or book, and base the clues and challenges around that theme.

Here are some tips for a successful Easter egg hunt:

    1. Choose a variety of hiding spots, from easy to more challenging.
    2. Use different colored eggs for different age groups so that everyone has a fair chance.
    3. Consider setting a time limit to keep the game moving and prevent frustration.
    4. Make sure to count the eggs before hiding them and keep track of where you placed them all.
    5. Give a prize to the person who finds the most eggs or the golden egg.
    6. In addition to candy, you can put various small items inside Easter eggs, such as stickers, small toys, or coins.

    And here’s another fun game!

Fill a jar with cotton balls and have the kids (and adults) guess how many cotton balls are in the jar! Print out the below sign and answer card to use for the game.
