Upcycle old Halloween costumes during park system’s costume swap

Do you have a box filled with old Halloween costumes that you made for your grandkids, or yourself, that you would now like to give away or trade-in for a new costume?

Upcyle gently-used kids’, adults’ and pet costumes for a spooktacular “new-to-you’ ensemble during the Monmouth County Park System’s Eek-O-Fabulous Costume Swap. It’s fun, easy, and best of all, free!

Drop off a costume and receive a token entitling you to a “new” costume on the day of the swap. Costume drop-offs will be accepted Monday-Saturday, September 26-October 1, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Costume drop-offs can be done at the following locations:

• Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, Tinton Falls;
• Huber Woods Environmental Center, Middletown;
• Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, Howell;
• Thompson Park Visitor Center, Lincroft.

“New” costumes can then be selected during the swap on Sunday, October 2 from 12-1:30 p.m. at the
Freneau Woods Park Visitor Center, Aberdeen. Costumes are only available during the swap date and time. Unused tokens may be used at the next year’s swap.
