Celebrate the merry-and-bright 2021 holiday season with your grandkids and put a twinkle in their eye, all while social distancing. You can choose from six spectacular drive-through light displays across New Jersey (or visit them all!) to enjoy a favorite holiday tradition from the cozy safety of your own car. Let the festive times roll, courtesy of this list from nj.gov.
NORTHERN NEW JERSEY
The Skylands Stadium Light Show & Christmas Village in Augusta is sure to be a huge hit with your family, and not just because of its over 2 million lights. A portion of the one-mile route is directly on the ballfield! Tickets for pre-scheduled reservations November 24, 2021-January 9, 2022 are only available for purchase online.
A harvest of twinkling illumination that winds through 32 acres awaits your family in the Orchard of Lights at Demarest Farms in Hillsdale. Tickets for half-hour time slots are exclusively available in advance online. Don’t miss out on the fun, November 23, 2021-January 9, 2022.
CENTRAL NEW JERSEY
Concertgoers are used to experiencing musical magic at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, but now you can bask in its Magic of Lights nightly November 19, 2021-January 2, 2022. Tickets are available at the gate or at a discount online.
At dazzling Winter WonderLights at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds in East Brunswick, you’ll drive past more than 1.5 million twinkling lights—with displays animated to music—along a half-mile-long course. The park is open November 26, 2021-January 2, 2022 with tickets available for purchase online.
SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY
Brighten your night with glittering, larger-than-life displays in perfect synchronization to music played through your radio. The Holiday Light Show at Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro follows a route more than one mile long and runs November 19-December 30, 2021. Tickets are available online or at the door on select weeknights.
Excitement continues to build at the Holidig Drive Thru Light Show at Diggerland USA in West Berlin. Instead of riding in a backhoe, you and your family will roll through a one-mile track in your car—and be sure to tune in to commercial-free holiday music on a dedicated radio channel. Tickets for events November 17, 2021-January 2, 2022 are available at the gate, but we recommend pre-purchasing online for priority admission.
Bright Idea: As always, we recommend visiting the official website of your holiday lights attraction before hopping in your car to review all the latest rules and restrictions. To find even more fun throughout this holiday season, please review our Calendar of Events.
