Get Ready for the 2023 Monmouth County Fair Home and Garden Competition: Showcasing the Best of Home Décor and Gardening Skills

It’s time to start getting your entries ready for the 2023 Monmouth County Fair Home & Garden Competition.

Staff will accept entries of art, photos, crafts, needlework and canning on Sunday, July 23 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and on Monday, July 24 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Flower and vegetable entries should be brought to the Fairgrounds on Friday, July 28 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Baked goods will be accepted at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 29 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Pre-registration is not required for these categories. Please note that this is an amateur competition.

The Home & Garden Competition will accept entries from Senior Center and Adult Day Programs on Monday, July 24 and Tuesday, July 25 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Pre-registration is required for Senior Center and Adult Day Programs only.

Registration deadline for the Senior Center and Adult Day Programs is Friday, July 7.

Held at East Freehold Showgrounds, Kozloski Road, Freehold, the Monmouth County Fair runs Wednesday to Sunday, July 26-30. Hours are 4-11 p.m. on Wednesday-Friday, July 26-28; 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturday, July 29; and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 30.

General admission to the Monmouth County Fair is $8 per adult; children 12 and under are admitted free. Veterans and active military with ID also enter for free. On Sunday, seniors 65 and older and students with ID are free.

The Monmouth County Fair is presented by the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners in cooperation with the Monmouth County Park System and the Monmouth County 4-H Association.
