The weather is getting nicer so consider spending some time outdoors in Monmouth County’s beautiful parks. Take a stroll or attend one of these upcoming events.
- Great Spring Perennial Plant Swap on Saturday, May 7 at Tatum Park, Middletown. Bring plants in one-quart, one-gallon or two-gallon containers and take home the same size and number of plants. Please label all plants. Plant drop off is from 8:30-10 a.m. Plant selection starts at 10 a.m. Rain or shine.
- Creative Arts Festival from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 at Thompson Park, Lincroft. See the works of fine artists from all mediums including pottery, jewelry, and painting. Also enjoy art demonstrations, activities and live music. Admission and parking are free. Rain or shine.
- Gentle Walks for Gentle Souls from 10-11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17 at Big Brook Park, Marlboro. Wander along wide paths during this Park System Naturalist-led walk. Please wear sturdy shoes. Pre-registration and fee required.
- Spring Peeper Stroll from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17 at Freneau Woods Park, Aberdeen. Listen for the calls of the spring peeper tree frog as we try to catch a glimpse of these tiny harbingers of spring. Pre-registration and fee required.
TICKETS AVAILABLE! Camelot, the Musical will be presented at the Thompson Park Theater Barn, Fridays & Saturdays, May 13 & 14 and 20 & 21. This timeless musical tells the tale of King Arthur, his kingdom and the Knights of the Round Table. Open to ages 12 and up, with adult. Additional details and tickets available online.
