Classic Radio Road Show recreates the Golden Age of Radio. Scenes from the stories are enhanced by sound effects, music, and the voices of talented actors. Live performances of the scripts by the most creative writers of the era will trigger your imagination. It’s called  theater of the mindOur cast includes: Laurie Noch, Elaine Steelman, Randall McCann, Michael Bürgi, Duane Noch, John Bell, Sheldon Fallon and Marléne Whitney on sound effects. 
This episode is called Case of the Flaming Skull. A burning skull kidnaps Lamont Cranston’s (The Shadow’s) friend. Later, the skull is reported to be robbing a home and then a jewelry store. The Shadow tries to investigate the truth, but people are being killed off before any information can be had. The wife of the kidnapped victim is placed under police protection, but the burning skull still goes after her and is confronted by The Shadow.
The Shadow was originally written by Walter Gibson and would become the most popular pulp fiction series and radio program of the 1930s and 40s. It ran for an incredible 21 seasons on The Mutual Network. Originally, Orson Welles voiced The Shadow, and Agnes Moorehead played his partner and confidant, Margo Lane. March 18, 1945 was the original air date of Case of the Flaming Skull.
