Enjoy some fun in the sun this weekend

Looking to enjoy some time outdoors this weekend? Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park in Long Branch is the place to be! Starting this Saturday, June 18, lifeguards will be on duty daily through Labor Day.

You might also enjoy:Walking Tours of Thompson Park on Saturday, June 18. Meet at the Thompson Park Visitor Center, Lincroft, to join our historical interpreter on a walk covering the park’s origins as an 18th century farmstead, its horse racing days, and eventual use as a county park. Walks begin at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. FREE!

Naturalist Walk at Winter Run Activity Center at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 19 at the Winter Run Activity Center at Manasquan River Greenway, Farmingdale. Join a Park System Naturalist for these one-mile nature walks. Sturdy shoes and bug spray are highly recommended. FREE!  

Blue Grass Jam from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, June 19 at Thompson Park, Lincroft. The Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association will have you stomping your feet during live performances at the Theatre Barn. FREE!

Seining Along Sandy Hook Bay returns for the summer on Monday, June 20 at Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth. Discover a variety of fish, crabs and other sea creatures as we pull a seine net along the edge of Sandy Hook Bay. Sessions take place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, June 20-August 26, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. FREE!

Discovering Authors from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 at Dorbrook Recreation Area, Colts Neck. Children age 5-7, with adult, will love exploring the stories of Laura Numeroff followed by games, movement and activities to reinforce what we read. An additional session is available on Sunday, June 26 at Freneau Woods Park, Aberdeen. Pre-registration and fee required.
